The Washington Post is reporting that Shrey Parikh, a 14-year-old from California, is the winner of the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee. It said judges determined that Parikh spelled 32 words correctly during the spell-off. This performance beat 12-year-old Ishaan Gupta’s 25 correct words.
