U.S. Payrolls Rise 29,000 in September as Unemployment Holds at 4.2%

Both nonfarm payroll employment (+29,000) and the unemployment rate (4.2 percent) changed little in September, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said.

Employment in all major industries changed little over the month, according to the latest Employment Situation news release.
