This family-friendly event promises classic carnival rides, live entertainment, farm animal visits, and showcases of local 4-H youth projects.
Attendees can enjoy carnival rides and games starting July 30 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On July 31, the fun extends until 10 p.m. and includes a "Big Truck Night" from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering children the chance to explore heavy equipment. The 4-H Fair Opening Ceremony is scheduled for August 1 at 10 a.m., followed by exhibits, animal shows, and free family activities until 5 p.m., with animal shows and exhibits continuing on August 2 until the 4 p.m. closing ceremony. Discounted unlimited ride wristbands are available for $25 until July 30 at 10 a.m., after which they will be $30.
In other significant news for the district, the Planning Commission recently recommended unanimous approval for the 47-acre Reston Town Center North redevelopment. This proposal, which now heads to the Board of Supervisors for a public hearing on September 15, aims to deliver a new Reston Regional Library and Embry Rucker Homeless Shelter by early 2030, alongside a future recreation center, athletic field, and public school. Inova also plans to build up to 1,000 residential units, medical, office, and retail spaces on its properties within the framework.
