A significant release is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, when the Census Bureau will publish the full data set from the 2024 Annual Integrated Economic Survey (AIES). This survey provides detailed economic data, including business revenue, expenses, and assets, for various sectors at more granular geographic levels than previously available nationally.
Additional economic indicators for July 2026 will be released, including Construction Spending on September 1, the Full Report on Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories and Orders on September 2, and U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services on September 3. The Bureau also noted upcoming webinars on "Unlocking Rural Data" and "Connecting Jobs and Walkability with Census Data," alongside California's 176th statehood anniversary on September 9.
The Bureau also reminded the public of its recent report on the global aging population, noting that between 2020 and 2025, the proportion of the world population aged 65 and older surpassed those aged 5 and younger for the first time.
