U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested numerous individuals described as "worst of the worst" criminal illegal aliens over Father's Day weekend, including those convicted of attempted murder, pedophilia, rape, and arson. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced these arrests, highlighting efforts to protect communities from violent offenders.
Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis emphasized the agency's dedication. "While Americans enjoyed Father’s Day Weekend, ICE was working around the clock to remove attempted murderers, pedophiles, rapists, arsonists, and other public safety threats from our communities," Bis said. "We are removing criminals so another family does not have a preventable tragedy."
Among those arrested were Jose Francisco-Amaya from Honduras, convicted for attempted homicide in Tennessee, and Daniel Ornelas-Garcia from Mexico, convicted for four counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in California. Other arrests included Carlos Leonardo Ruiz (Mexico) for continuous sexual abuse of a child, and Abulay Nian (Sierra Leone) for rape and assault.
Additional individuals apprehended included Felipe Roque-Monje (Mexico) for lewd acts with a child, Osman Lopez-Manzilla (Honduras) for child fondling, and Eduardo Arce-Aguilar (El Salvador) for forcible sexual abuse. Alberto Garrido-Maurin (Cuba) was arrested for first-degree criminal sexual conduct, among other charges.
Bis further said, "Every day, ICE is committed to fighting for the victims of illegal alien crime and their families. They are our why. President Trump and Secretary Mullin stand with Angel families." The arrests spanned multiple states and involved various serious offenses, underscoring ICE's ongoing enforcement actions.
