The U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced the launch of the Trump Accounts app, now available nationwide on all major mobile app stores, serving as the primary interface for a policy designed to build long-term financial strength for American families.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent emphasized the program's significance, stating, “The Trump Administration is taking another step forward in expanding opportunity for American families. The Trump Accounts app delivers a simple, secure way for households to begin engaging with a program designed to build long-term financial strength from day one.” He added that by providing easy access, the initiative aims to include America’s youth in a new era of economic participation.

The next phase of the Trump Accounts program will see account activation begin for millions of families ahead of its official launch on July 4, 2026. Parents and legal guardians who have already signed up their children by submitting IRS Form 4547 will start receiving emails with instructions to complete the account setup process, with these activation emails being sent in phases until July 4, 2026.

Families should expect emails from no-reply@TrumpAccounts.Treasury.gov, guiding them to activate accounts via the app or TrumpAccounts.gov. Starting July 4, 2026, accounts will accept contributions from various sources, and eligible children will receive a $1,000 pilot program contribution from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Treasury also issued a warning against scams, advising families that legitimate communications about Trump Account activation will only come via email from the official address. They caution against responding to text messages or phone calls, and recommend only accessing accounts through the official app or by directly typing TrumpAccounts.gov into a browser.
