This recall follows FDA laboratory analysis confirming the unlisted ingredient, which poses significant health risks to consumers.
Sildenafil, approved for erectile dysfunction under medical supervision, can dangerously interact with nitrates in certain prescription medications, such as nitroglycerin, leading to critically low blood pressure. Individuals with pre-existing conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease face increased risks from these potential interactions.
The recalled "Boner Bears Chocolate," Lot #BB21125 with an expiration date of 02/2026, was marketed as a sexual enhancement product and sold nationwide through online sales, including via elyxr.com. The product is an individually wrapped 22g chocolate bar in a black wrapper. JXK Enterprises, Inc. has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall thus far.
