It said federal prosecutors allege a Kata'ib Hezbollah commander previously directed attacks in Europe and later plotted to firebomb a synagogue in New York City. Separately, TIME is reporting that President Donald J Trump may drop an IRS lawsuit in exchange for a $1.7 billion "weaponization" fund. It said the proposed settlement would establish a fund for Jan. 6 defendants and other individuals who assert the Biden Administration weaponized the legal system against them.
