Nebraska Game and Parks has announced key dates for fall hunting permits, the grand opening of a new aquatic facility at Fort Robinson State Park, and increased enforcement efforts for boating safety.
Resident deer and antelope permits will be available for purchase starting July 10, with nonresident permits following on July 22. Hunters can acquire these permits online, in person at a Game and Parks office, or via mail, with sales beginning at 10 a.m. Central time.
Fort Robinson State Park has officially opened its new aquatic facility, featuring zero-entry access, a 310-foot dual-tracking waterslide, a stagecoach slide, and a dump bucket. The park also reopened its hiking and equestrian trails, advising caution due to areas affected by the recent South Fork Fire.
Additionally, the annual Operation Dry Water campaign will see a significant presence of conservation officers on state waters from July 3-5. This initiative aims to reduce alcohol- and drug-related incidents and fatalities through heightened awareness and enforcement.
