Penguin Random House is reporting that its "The ReadDown" newsletter has highlighted new book club stories for summer 2026. It said the list includes a variety of titles, from novels by beloved authors to fascinating memoirs, intended to spark discussion among book club members.
Among the featured selections is "Little Wonder: Oprah’s Book Club" by Sophie Chen Keller, described as a novel about a musical prodigy and his mother. Another highlight is "A Pair of Aces: Reese’s Book Club" by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray, a gripping novel about two women working to bring down Mob boss Lucky Luciano in 1930s New York.
The publisher also noted "The Solo Honeymoon" by Laura Murphy, a memoir about a woman's solo trip to Europe after her fiancé's death. Liane Moriarty's "Big Little Truths," her first-ever sequel, examines the complexities of modern women’s lives, while Matt Haig's "The Midnight Train" offers a magical, time-traveling love story. Other titles include "Never Tell a Black Girl How to Black Girl" by Amena Brown, "Land" by Maggie O'Farrell, and "The Things We Never Say" by Elizabeth Strout.
