The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) launched a first-in-the-nation remote screening pilot program on June 1 at Boston Logan International Airport, offering a new option for select travelers.
In partnership with the Massachusetts Port Authority, this innovative program allows passengers flying JetBlue or Delta between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to use a remote terminal in Framingham, Massachusetts. Travelers can park, check in, clear security, and then take a bus directly to the secure side of their terminal, bypassing airport traffic and congestion.
"This pilot program is all about creating options for our travelers," said TSA Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Acting Administrator Ha Nguyen McNeill. She added that under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, TSA continuously seeks to make the checkpoint experience smoother and faster while maintaining strong security.
Tickets for the Framingham remote screening experience cost $9, with children under 18 boarding free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Daily parking at Framingham is available for $7. TSA aims to roll out more remote passenger screening options nationwide, building on existing programs at Los Angeles, Atlanta, and JFK International Airports.
