The FBI has announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the 2023 murder of 73-year-old Patrick Carlow Sr. near Oglala, South Dakota.

Carlow was discovered murdered in his home on May 19, 2023, located on the Oglala Sioux lands of the Pine Ridge Reservation. Investigators determined the homicide likely occurred overnight, with no signs of forced entry, suggesting the perpetrator(s) likely knew Carlow and were familiar with his residence.

Special Agent in Charge Christopher D. Dotson of the FBI Minneapolis Field Office emphasized the agency's commitment, saying, "The FBI is dedicated to finding justice for all crime victims. It only takes one person to do the right thing for a grieving family. There is no better time than now to come forward with information that will answer the outstanding questions about Mr. Carlow’s death."

This reward is part of the FBI's broader initiatives, Operation Steadfast Promise and Operation Not Forgotten, which aim to address violent crime in Tribal communities and seek justice for victims of unresolved cases. The FBI urges anyone with information to contact them at 800-CALL-FBI or submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov.
