Congresswoman Katherine Clark has sharply criticized former President Donald Trump's economic policies and alleged corruption, stating that "the American people are facing skyrocketing prices — from gas to groceries to monthly utility bills" due to his "reckless war of choice and harmful economic polices." Clark asserted that while citizens struggle, Trump is "padding his pockets with millions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars," citing examples such as "$600 million in taxpayer paid contracts" to his family.

In her efforts to deliver an "affordable future," Clark announced securing $4 million in federal resources for Massachusetts' 5th Congressional District (MA-5). This funding includes $1,000,000 for a 1.7-mile path along the Mystic River and Lower Mystic Lake in Arlington, enhancing walkability and green space access. Additionally, Malden received $3,360,000 to develop a new public park designed to serve as an urgently-needed barrier against rising sea levels.

Clark also addressed concerns about voter suppression, calling it the "cornerstone of the MAGA agenda," and highlighted the overturning of an election in Virginia. She participated in "All Roads Lead to the South," a national day of action for voting rights in Montgomery, Alabama, where activists sent a clear message: "We will not stop fighting in defense of democracy." Clark urged action, echoing the wisdom of the late John Lewis: "Find a way to get in the way."

Separately, Clark congratulated Christina Xiao of Framingham, the MA-5 winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. Xiao's piece, "A Nation in Windows," which beautifully displays America's diverse cultures, will be displayed in the Capitol.
