U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently announced the arrest of several criminal illegal aliens, including individuals convicted of murder and drug trafficking, across American communities. These arrests are part of an ongoing effort under President Donald J. Trump and Secretary Markwayne Mullin to remove dangerous individuals.
Among those apprehended were Jose Avelar-Velasquez from El Salvador, convicted of murder in Riverhead, New York; Noel Escarsega-Orquiz from Mexico, convicted of second-degree murder in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Abdoulaye Doucoure from Mali, convicted of third-degree murder in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also arrested were Jorge Emigdio Ortiz-Barrios from Guatemala, convicted for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, and Felico Cleare from the Bahamas, convicted for bringing aliens into the U.S. for private financial gain.
Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin said, "Yesterday, ICE arrested murderers, drug dealers, and other dangerous public safety threats from our communities." He added that under President Trump's leadership, the safety of the American people will always be prioritized.
