The Wall Street Journal is reporting in its Morning Editorial Report that evidence keeps coming that U.S. investment and growth are picking up. In an editorial titled "The U.S. Economy Is Accelerating," the Journal's editorial board said the economy is performing better than previously reported. In a separate column, James Freeman wrote that a political narrative is in danger as a result.

The Journal is also reporting that passengers aboard a flydubai flight to Tel Aviv fought back against a would-be hijacker. In an editorial, the board said Israelis on the plane and their flydubai crew resisted in the spirit of Flight 93.

The Journal said an inspector general report on the Federal Reserve's building project found familiar incompetence but no criminality. It said the report marks the end of the Fed building fiasco.

The Journal is reporting that a House report reveals a stealthy effort to steer judicial decisions through climate classes for judges. It said the report describes the effort as biased.

In other opinion pieces, the Journal said midrange Ukrainian drones have degraded some Russian electronic-warfare systems and hobbled 300 vessels. It also published an argument that companies claiming to endanger the public should not receive limited legal liability, and a column by Karl Rove saying the Republican strategy for the 2026 midterms looks good on paper but lacks competent execution.

The Journal's review sections featured a look at the best movies and TV shows of September, book reviews, and art reviews including a retrospective on North Carolina artist Minnie Evans at the Whitney. Its Potomac Watch podcast examined Democratic candidates running on the high cost of living, arguing their policy plans would drive up the cost of groceries, gas and houses.
