The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board is reporting that the Trump family is profiting from the presidency in ways it believes demean the office. It said this practice is referred to as "honest graft."
The Editorial Board also reported on what it calls a "socialist wave" reaching the heartland, citing Colorado's primary as a step in the left's Democratic takeover. It highlighted that Denver's Rep. Diana DeGette lost her primary to Melat Kiros, described as a socialist who believes 9/11 was inevitable and that the U.S. should stop sending arms to Israel. The board noted that while some Democrats oppose this shift, most appear willing to accommodate it. It further stated that Congressman Adam Smith's change in stance on arms cooperation signals a shift within the Democratic Party regarding Israel.
Separately, the Editorial Board reviewed Britain's defense plan, calling it disappointing. It said the welfare state continues to take priority over the United Kingdom's military.
