Fromm Family Foods Recalls Dog Food Due to Potential Metal Contamination

Fromm Family Foods has voluntarily recalled 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food due to potential metal contamination. The US Food and Drug Administration announced the recall on August 21, 2026, originating from the Mequon, Wisconsin-based company.

Dogs ingesting metal may exhibit symptoms such as choking, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, or stomach discomfort. Metal, especially sharp pieces, can lead to serious health issues including lacerations in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract, or even intestinal obstruction. Pet owners whose dogs show these symptoms after consuming the recalled products should contact their veterinarian.

The affected products were distributed to neighborhood pet stores and online retailers across the United States and Canada. The recalled items include 12.2 oz. Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food (UPC 072705118700, Lot Code EP2A3306 551006, Best By 032029) and 12.5 oz. Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food (UPC 072705132324, Lot Code EP2A3306 551029, Best By 032029). To date, no illnesses or injuries have been reported, but consumers are advised to stop feeding these products to their dogs immediately.
