Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is preparing for a busy summer with a major expansion, new international routes, and preparations for global soccer events. The C Concourse Expansion, set to open in June, will double the existing building to 229,530 square feet, featuring a thoughtful design that incorporates natural light, local materials, and expansive views to reflect the Pacific Northwest.

Travelers now have more options for international journeys, with new nonstop services from SEA. Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines have launched routes to Rome, Italy, a previously unserved market from the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, Delta Air Lines has introduced the first-ever direct service from SEA to Barcelona, Spain.

Seattle is also gearing up to host six global soccer matches at Lumen Field this summer. SEA Airport is providing guidance for fans, emphasizing easy access to the stadium via light rail and walkable districts. To enhance the traveler experience, SEA has introduced new secure Lost and Found drop boxes after security checkpoints, allowing for quicker return of misplaced items. The airport is also recruiting volunteers for its SEA Ambassador Team to assist visitors with wayfinding and tourism insights.
