Omar Parra, 39, of Stamford, was sentenced today to 100 months in federal prison and four years of supervised release for his involvement in narcotics trafficking and firearm possession offenses. U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea delivered the sentence in Hartford.
Parra, also known as “D” and “Dee,” was identified during an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and the Stamford Police Department. Investigators observed Parra regularly receiving fentanyl from Jimmy Arce for redistribution and conducted multiple controlled purchases of fentanyl and crack cocaine directly from Parra.
Following his arrest on March 14, 2024, a search of Parra’s residence and vehicle uncovered distribution quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and crack, along with drug processing tools, a loaded .380 caliber semiautomatic handgun, and $16,574 in cash. Parra pleaded guilty on December 9, 2024, to multiple charges, including conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. His criminal history includes prior state felony convictions for drug and arson offenses. Co-conspirator Jimmy Arce was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment on January 12, 2026.
The investigation involved numerous law enforcement agencies, including the DEA HIDTA Task Force, Stamford Police Department, Bridgeport Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Connecticut State Police, and the Norwalk, Danbury, and Darien Police Departments.
