Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen announced that Troy Dannen, athletic director for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will deliver the opening keynote at the 2026 Governor's Summit.
Dannen replaces Senator Ben Sasse, who was previously announced as the morning keynote. According to the announcement, Sasse is recovering from a recent successful liver surgery and is unable to attend.
The summit's program will now open with the Husker athletic director, whose selection was confirmed by the Governor's office in Lincoln.
No further details on the summit's schedule or additional speakers were included in the announcement.
