The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) have announced a series of public meetings and contested case hearings throughout June and July 2026, addressing various environmental permitting issues across Texas. These events will cover proposed new and renewed air quality and wastewater permits for several companies and municipalities.

Scheduled public meetings include discussions on Derichebourg Recycling USA, Inc.'s proposed new air quality permit for a metal shredding facility in Houston on June 9, and Energy Forge One LLC's new air quality permit for the Kilby Power Plant in Pecos on June 10. Additionally, the City of Pflugerville's wastewater permit renewal will be reviewed on June 16.

Wastewater permit applications for HK Bellas Ranch, LLC in Floresville (June 11), James Gregory Coontz and Cathy Ann Frederick in Forest Hill (June 18), Rick Wagner Farms LLC in Livingston (July 7), and South Central Water Company in Hutto (July 14) are also slated for public discussion. A preliminary contested case hearing for Belle Vie Utilities LLC's wastewater permit in Fannin County will be conducted virtually by SOAH on July 7.

These meetings and hearings are arranged by the TCEQ's Office of the Chief Clerk and SOAH to discuss permitting issues, including the issuance, renewal, or amendment of Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, New Source Review, or Municipal Solid Waste permits. The public is encouraged to attend to discuss these environmental authorizations.
