Dartmouth Appoints New Hood Museum Director, President Receives Award

Dartmouth College has announced the appointment of Kim Conaty as the new Director of the Hood Museum of Art, marking a significant leadership change for the institution's prominent art museum.

In other news, Dartmouth President Sian Leah Beilock is slated to receive the Class of 1964/2014 James Wright ’64a Outstanding Leadership Award. This honor, presented annually by Dartmouth alums, recognizes outstanding leadership.

The college also highlighted recent media coverage, including Government professor Brendan Nyhan's discussion in The New York Times regarding political advantages of family ties in elections. Nyhan commented on voters' "parasocial relationships" with elected officials, stating, "We feel like we know them, and that may carry over to their relatives."

Furthermore, the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education was addressed by Rafe Steinhauer. Steinhauer offered a distinct perspective, saying, "AI is the future of software. That doesn't mean it's the future of education."
