The Vandenberg Coalition, a conservative foreign policy organization, has announced the addition of four new members to its Advisory Board, aiming to broaden perspectives on current global challenges. Celebrating its five-year anniversary, the coalition continues its mission to develop an updated conservative foreign policy designed to secure American safety, freedom, and prosperity for generations to come.
The coalition highlighted several pressing international issues. Regarding Venezuela, the organization stated that the "Delcy regime" poses risks to American security and economic interests. It advocates for a clear and swift timetable for democratic elections to establish a government accountable to the Venezuelan people and a reliable U.S. partner.
Discussions also centered on key U.S. alliances and defense capabilities. TVC Chairman Elliott Abrams emphasized the importance of allies like Israel and Ukraine, noting their significant contributions to defense and their role in confronting American adversaries. Separately, Advisory Board members Bradley Bowman and Mark Montgomery underscored the urgent need for the U.S. military to rebuild its munitions supply, asserting that quantity is as crucial as quality in modern conflicts.
Furthermore, the coalition addressed the challenge of deterring China from invading Taiwan. Ken Moriyasu suggested an "acupuncture approach" to geopolitics, focusing on strengthening strategic pressure points across Eurasia to influence Beijing's cost-benefit calculations.
