Fairfax County Parks is launching two free historical programs this fall as part of Fairfax250, the county's commemoration of America's 250th anniversary. These initiatives aim to engage residents and visitors with local history through guided tours and a self-paced adventure.
The "September Sundays Free Tour Series" will offer guided programs at seven historic sites on September 6, 13, 20, and 27. Additionally, the "Fairfax250 Adventure Patch" provides a self-guided experience, allowing participants to explore history at their own pace across three themes: Learning, Sharing, and Doing.
