The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for a "RED'S STEAK CILANTRO AND LIME BURRITO" product due to misbranding and the presence of undeclared egg, a known allergen. This alert aims to inform consumers with egg allergies that the product should not be consumed.
The affected product, produced on June 19, 2026, is a 3-lb 2-oz. carton containing 10 individually wrapped burritos. It bears the establishment number "EST. 46069" inside the USDA mark of inspection and was shipped to Costco distribution locations in Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota. A recall was not initiated because the product is no longer available for purchase.
The issue was discovered by a consumer who identified that the carton contained a different product with egg, which was incorrectly labeled. The consumer reported this to the producing establishment, Red's All Natural, LLC., which then notified FSIS. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to date.
FSIS advises consumers who may have purchased this product and stored it in their freezers not to consume it. The product should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase. Consumers with food safety questions can contact the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline.
