The U.S. Census Bureau announced new partnerships for its Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) experimental data product, significantly expanding the resource for individuals considering higher education. This update adds data from 165 post-secondary institutions across eight new states, bringing the total to 1,117 institutions and covering approximately 40% of all U.S. college graduates.
New partnerships include institutions in Colorado, Maryland, New Mexico, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Utah, Tennessee, and Vermont, alongside additional institutions from four existing partners. The PSEO tool allows prospective college students to explore earnings and employment outcomes based on major, degree level, post-secondary institution, and state.
The PSEO product is a collaborative effort, made possible through data-sharing partnerships between universities, state education and labor market information offices, and the Census Bureau, providing valuable insights for future academic and career planning.
