Kasey Young, of Modesto, has been appointed to the State 911 Advisory Board. Young brings extensive experience from Stanislaus Regional 9-1-1, where she has served as Executive Director since 2024, and held various roles at Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center and American Medical Response. This position does not require Senate confirmation and is uncompensated.
The Board of Parole Hearings saw several appointments and reappointments. Reye Diaz, Assistant Chief at the California Department of Justice, and Brittiany Bearden, Deputy Legal Affairs Secretary in the Governor's Office, were appointed. Reappointed members include Gilbert Infante, Catherine Purcell, Emily Sheffield, Robert Barton, and Kevin Chappell. Nancy Miller, Of Counsel for Sloan Sakai, LLC, has been appointed to the California Transportation Commission. Miller previously held leadership roles at Miller, Owen & Trost. This position requires Senate confirmation and offers a compensation of $100 per diem.
