Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders will designate Helena-West Helena as Arkansas' Capital for the Day on Thursday, September 3, engaging in a series of meetings and community visits with her Cabinet secretaries and local officials.
The day's agenda includes volunteering at the Delta Community Resource Center at 8:45 a.m., followed by a closed visit to J.F. Wahl Elementary School at 9:45 a.m. Governor Sanders will then tour Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas at 11:00 a.m., which will also be a closed event.
An open meet and greet will take place at Phillips Community College's Hendrix Fine Arts Building Student Center at 12:00 p.m., with remarks beginning at 12:15 p.m. The Governor's afternoon schedule includes a closed visit to the Delta Heritage Trail at 2:00 p.m., a closed Delta Heritage Trail Roundtable discussion at 2:45 p.m., and a closed visit to the Helena Family Health Center at 4:00 p.m. The day will conclude with a closed local leadership roundtable at 4:35 p.m.
