Ellanor C. Lawrence Park in Fairfax County is now offering free EnChroma glasses to visitors with color vision deficiencies. This initiative, part of the "Fairfax Forward" program, aims to enhance the park experience by allowing more users to distinguish colors across its diverse landscapes.
Six pairs of the specialized glasses are available for loan at the park’s visitor center. The selection includes options for both adults and youth, as well as fit-over styles designed for individuals who wear prescription glasses.
The EnChroma glasses cater to various types of color vision deficiencies, including red-green and blue-yellow, providing a new way for visitors to appreciate the vibrant forests, meadows, and seasonal changes within the park.
