The Social Security Administration is reminding beneficiaries that it is time to report their gross monthly wages for the month of September.
Wages can now be reported online using a personal and secure "my" Social Security account, the agency said. On a desktop, laptop, or mobile device, recipients or their representative payee can report wages if they receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits, receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI), receive both SSDI benefits and SSI, or are a spouse or parent who lives with a person who receives SSI.
After reporting monthly wages online, the recipient or their representative payee can save or print a copy of the receipt, according to the agency.
The Social Security Administration also pointed beneficiaries to a video about wage reporting. Those who do not yet have an account can sign in or create one through the agency's website.
"Join the millions and discover your benefits!" the agency said, encouraging beneficiaries to open a my Social Security account.
