Dartmouth College is set to host a significant exhibition of Asian art at the Hood Museum of Art, opening in January. This will be the first major exhibition to comprehensively showcase the breadth and quality of the museum's extensive Asian art collection, offering a unique cultural experience to the Dartmouth community and visitors.

In a separate announcement, Eric Fossum, a distinguished vice provost and professor at Dartmouth Engineering, has been named the recipient of the 2026 American Innovator Award. Fossum is being recognized for his groundbreaking “camera-on-a-chip” technology, an innovation that played a pivotal role in making digital photography ubiquitous across various devices and applications.

The college also recently celebrated its vibrant residential house communities through HouseFest, an event designed to foster connection and spirit among students. Additionally, Joe Catrino, executive director of the Center for Career Design, discussed Dartmouth’s strategic focus on equipping students for “multichapter careers,” emphasizing the crucial role of alumni in this preparation.
