The National Fire Academy (NFA) has announced immediate vacancies for its resident course R0233, "Chemical Hazard Analysis for Risk-Based Response," scheduled from July 6-10, 2026. Interested applicants must apply by Friday, June 12th, to secure a spot in this critical training program.
Due to the ongoing unavailability of the NFA Online system, prerequisite courses Q0259 and Q0757 have been temporarily waived. However, participants are still required to complete ICS-100 and ICS-200, which are available through the NDEMU website, prior to attending the class at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD.
Applications should be submitted via the NETC Online Admissions application website, requiring electronic approval from the sponsoring organization's head. The Admissions office will notify successful applicants in writing. For assistance, contact netcadmissions@fema.dhs.gov. The NFA apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the system outage.
