The D.C. State Board of Education is scheduled to hold its August working session virtually on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The public is invited to participate by viewing a livestream of the meeting.
While in-person attendance will be restricted to State Board members, staff, and invited guests, the public can access the session via the official YouTube channel at youtube.com/dcsboe. Meeting materials for the session are also available for review.
The D.C. State Board of Education operates as an independent agency within the District of Columbia government. Comprising nine elected representatives and four appointed student representatives, the Board advises the Office of the State Superintendent on educational matters, establishes academic standards and graduation requirements, and oversees the Offices of Ombudsman and Student Advocate.
