Media Monitor: TIME Reports on Blue Origin Explosion, Trump Bill, and Political Events

TIME magazine is reporting that a Blue Origin rocket exploded into flames on its launch pad. It said footage of the incident showed the rocket erupting into a massive fireball, sending towering flames and thick smoke into the night sky.

TIME also reported that the Treasury Department is preparing to put President Donald J Trump on a $250 bill. It said this move, intended to mark the U.S. Semiquincentennial with a commemorative note, would require legislation to allow a living person to appear on paper currency.

Separately, TIME said several artists have withdrawn from Semiquincentennial concerts. It reported that these acts do not plan to perform due to the perceived politicization of the event.

Regarding the 2028 presidential race, TIME is reporting that Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has ruled out a bid. It said several other prominent politicians have publicly expressed interest in running.
