New Jersey Governor Sherrill today signed a series of bills into law, authorizing significant funding for infrastructure projects and implementing new regulations for healthcare and business safety.

The legislation includes several measures empowering the NJ Infrastructure Bank to provide loans for Fiscal Year 2027. These funds are designated for Community Hazard Assistance Mitigation Program projects, environmental infrastructure initiatives, and transportation infrastructure improvements, with an accompanying appropriation.

Additionally, Governor Sherrill approved bills aimed at enhancing safety within scrap metal businesses and revising requirements for prescribing Schedule II controlled dangerous substances through telemedicine and telehealth services. These new laws are set to take effect for the upcoming fiscal year.
