Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred near Kings Park on the evening of June 29. The incident, which happened at 9:36 p.m. at the intersection of Braddock Road and Kings Park Drive, resulted in the death of 26-year-old Paul Economon Jr. of Clifton.
Preliminarily, detectives determined that Economon was operating a 2013 Honda CB1100 motorcycle eastbound on Braddock Road when it collided with a 2021 Toyota Corolla. The Toyota was making a left turn from westbound Braddock Road onto Kings Park Drive. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, while Economon was pronounced deceased after being taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
