New Iberia resident Isaiah Robinson, 27, has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for the enticement of a minor, followed by a 10-year term of supervised release. The sentencing took place on June 16, 2026, in Lafayette.
According to court documents, Robinson engaged in an online conversation on Snapchat in January 2024 with a minor female, approximately 12 years old, requesting explicit photos. The child's father discovered the exchange on her phone and promptly alerted law enforcement, who subsequently confirmed Robinson's identity as the Snapchat account user.
U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Keller for the Western District of Louisiana emphasized the commitment to protecting children. "This case reflects our commitment to protect children and seek justice for the most vulnerable among us and, more importantly, the importance of parents remaining vigilant and reporting this criminal activity to law enforcement," said Keller.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Craig R. Bordelon II. This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation. The U.S. Attorney's Office, along with law enforcement partners, will continue to pursue offenders who exploit minors.
