A former soccer coach, Camilo Campos-Hurtado, an illegal alien from Mexico, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in Tennessee for sexually exploiting children. The sentencing follows an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) into his activities.
Campos-Hurtado pleaded guilty on June 17, 2025, to four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, receiving child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and possessing fraudulent immigration and identification documents. He received his 30-year sentence on July 2, 2025. The investigation began in 2023 after explicit videos were discovered on a cell phone he left in a Franklin business, leading to police notification.
Forensic analysis revealed Campos-Hurtado had been producing CSAM since 2013. From 2017 to 2021, while working as a soccer coach, he incapacitated underage victims with drugs or alcohol before sexually abusing and recording them. Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said, "This child predator will now be behind bars for 30 years. If he is ever released, ICE will immediately remove him from the country."
