The U.S. Census Bureau will host a webinar on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. ET, to demonstrate how its data can be utilized to identify job hubs and enhance community walkability. This event aims to support data-driven decisions for economic development and infrastructure investment.

The webinar, titled "Connecting Jobs and Walkability with Census Data," will feature speakers Evan Johnston, Reece Neathery, and John Karras. It is presented by the Census Bureau and the Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Partnership, in collaboration with the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) and the Labor Market Information (LMI) Institute.

Attendees will learn how Census Bureau data and walk-time analysis can effectively pinpoint employment centers. The Census Bureau regularly offers free workshops and training through its Census Academy to help organizations use its extensive data for various applications, including business planning, grant proposals, and urban development.
