KANSAS CITY, Mo. – John J. Hahn, also known as “Krazy Legs,” 47, of Cameron, Mo., a former member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, was sentenced today to ten years in federal prison without parole for his involvement in an armed assault against a rival gang member. U.S. District Judge Greg Kays delivered the sentence.
Hahn was convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering and possession of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The incident occurred on September 17, 2022, in Blue Springs, Mo., when Hahn and 12 other members of the Pagan’s and their support club, the Los Valerosos, chased and forced a lone rival gang member from the road.
During the confrontation, the victim was shot seven times, sustaining wounds to his knee, thigh, forearm, biceps, buttocks, and the back of his leg. The assailants were armed with firearms and at least one axe handle. Following the shooting, Hahn received his Pagan’s patch, signifying his membership. This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bradley K. Kavanaugh and Robert Smith and investigated by a multi-agency team, including the FBI and local police departments, as part of the Homeland Security Task Force initiative.
