A self-admitted member of Boston's Bailey Street gang, Kenneth Bigby-Williams, 30, of Hyde Park, was sentenced today to 90 months in prison for illegal possession of five firearms and ammunition. U.S. District Court Judge Allison D. Burroughs also ordered three years of supervised release following his prison term.
Bigby-Williams pleaded guilty in March 2026 to two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, having been indicted by a federal grand jury in October 2025. His prior 2019 conviction for firearm possession without a permit in Suffolk Superior Court prohibited him from owning weapons.
The charges stemmed from an August 7, 2025, operation where five firearms, approximately 73 rounds of various caliber ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and other accessories were seized during search warrants. This case is part of "Operation Take Back America," a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating violent crime and transnational criminal organizations.
The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley, FBI Special Agent in Charge Ted E. Docks, and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox, with assistance from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Dawley prosecuted the case.
