Andrew Chester Moyer, 48, of Minersville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of distribution, receipt, and possession of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced.
According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, the indictment alleges Moyer distributed and received child pornography between April 27, 2026, and April 30, 2026, in Schuylkill County. He is also accused of possessing child pornography on May 6, 2026.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Allentown Resident Agency and the Minersville Borough Police Department investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Tatum R. Wilson is prosecuting the matter, which is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation.
If found guilty, Moyer faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum sentence of five years, along with a term of supervised release and a fine. All persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
