It said Iran reportedly launched strikes at U.S. bases in Jordan and Bahrain, raising questions about the U.S. potentially entering another open-ended conflict.
Separately, DW News said U.S. citizens are increasing pressure on data centers. It reported that rapid data center construction, driven by artificial intelligence, poses serious threats to the environment, public health and energy supply, leading to local opposition that has blocked or delayed numerous projects.
In international diplomacy, DW News is reporting that Germany is seeking energy and trading partners in Africa. It said Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is visiting Nigeria and South Africa to promote greater cooperation and boost Germany's economy.
