U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested numerous criminal illegal aliens nationwide over the weekend, targeting individuals convicted of serious offenses including murder, sexual assault, and rape.
Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin emphasized the agency's commitment, stating, "While Americans enjoyed their weekend, the patriots of ICE worked around the clock to remove murderers, pedophiles, rapists, and other public safety threats from our communities." He added that "Under President Trump, ICE has been unleashed to deliver the American people’s mandate to arrest and remove illegal aliens from our country. We will always put the safety of the American people first."
Among those apprehended were Nelson Cruz-Urquilla, convicted of first-degree murder in Virginia, and Jorge Arturo Sanchez-Perez, convicted of sexual assault of a child in Nebraska. Other arrests included individuals convicted of second-degree murder in Washington D.C. and King County, Washington, as well as rape in Delaware and drug offenses in Florida and Utah.
These operations underscore the administration's ongoing efforts to identify, arrest, and deport individuals in the country illegally who pose a threat to public safety.
