U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) set a new record in August 2026, arresting nearly 51,000 illegal aliens, marking the third consecutive month of record-breaking arrests.
The 50,925 arrests in August surpassed July's total of 50,208, which itself had exceeded June's 43,900 arrests. This is the second month in a row with over 50,000 illegal alien arrests.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said, "The hard-working men and women of DHS continue to break records as they defend the homeland and protect the American people." He added that under President Trump’s leadership, ICE is "working around the clock every day to arrest and deport illegal aliens from American communities."
The Department of Homeland Security also noted that over 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. since President Trump returned to office. The U.S. is offering $3,000 and a free flight for self-deportation via the CBP Home App, warning that those who do not comply will be arrested and deported without a chance to return. August arrests included individuals convicted of serious crimes such as DUI manslaughter, child pornography, murder, sexual assault of a minor, and fentanyl distribution.
