Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass today issued two Emergency Executive Orders to accelerate environmental remediation and recovery efforts. The orders establish a centralized command structure, surge City resources for impacted residents, workers, and businesses, and deploy mobile health screening and mental health stations.

The initiative also aims to pursue legal options for cost recovery and strengthen environmental oversight of industrial facilities. Mayor Bass signed the orders at the City’s Community Resource Center, joined by Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, Supervisor Hilda Solis, and LAFD Chief Jaime Moore.

Residents can access vital resources at the center, including air purifiers, food kits, health services, and financial assistance.
