Shanghai Ravioli Corporation of Boston, Massachusetts, is recalling approximately 24,900 pounds of frozen, not ready-to-eat Buffalo chicken products due to production without federal inspection. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall today, August 26, 2026, after discovering the issue during surveillance activities.
The recalled items, produced between July 8, 2025, and June 29, 2026, include "BUFFALO CHICKEN RANGOON" and "BENEDETTO’S BUFFALO CHICKEN MOZZARELLA STICK." These products bear false inspection marks, "EST. 18004," which is not a federally granted establishment number. They were distributed to foodservice locations across Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
FSIS warns that food produced without inspection may pose health risks from undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury associated with these products. Foodservice establishments are urged not to serve these items and should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase. FSIS will conduct effectiveness checks to ensure the recalled products are no longer available.
