The Vandenberg Coalition recently highlighted the fourth anniversary of former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's pivotal 2020 speech on Communist China and simultaneously endorsed the bipartisan Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia Act, urging Congress to swiftly pass the legislation.
Pompeo's address, delivered amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, called for a reassessment of the United States' approach to the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He sought to "put it all together for the American people and detail what the China threat means for our economy, for our liberty, and indeed for the future of free democracies around the world."
In a separate action, The Vandenberg Coalition announced its endorsement of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia Act. The coalition emphasized that passing this bill would honor the late Senator Graham's legacy of protecting U.S. national security by crippling Vladimir Putin's war efforts and making him take peace negotiations seriously.
