FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for Beef Jerky Over Undeclared Wheat Allergen

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for "STREET’S BEEF Jerky TERIYAKI FLAVOR" produced by GoodTimes Beef Jerky due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The product contains wheat, a known allergen, which is not listed on the label. A recall was not initiated as the product is no longer available for purchase.

The ready-to-eat beef jerky, bearing establishment number “EST. 21827,” was produced between August 7, 2025, and July 1, 2026. It was distributed to three retail locations in Oklahoma: Bordwine Hay, Feed & Hardware, Grassroots Farm Store, and Bromide Trading Co. The issue was identified during a routine FSIS label review.

Consumers who may have purchased these products, identified by various lot codes including 0701271 and 0520271, are advised not to consume them. The FSIS recommends disposing of the product or returning it to the place of purchase. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to date.
