Eliezer Kadoch, a Toms River, New Jersey resident and French citizen, pleaded guilty yesterday to illegally voting in a federal election held in November 2022.
U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced that Kadoch, 39, admitted before U.S. Magistrate Judge J. Brendan Day in Trenton federal court to one count of voting by an alien. Kadoch has never been a citizen of the United States.
The illegal vote was cast during the midterm election, which included the election of a Member of the United States House of Representatives. The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to six months in prison and a $100,000 fine. Sentencing for Kadoch is scheduled for October 26, 2026.
The investigation was a collaborative effort by special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This case falls under the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Election Integrity Task Force, dedicated to protecting election integrity in the District of New Jersey.
